Dave Morgan is a 24-year veteran of the fire service with an international background in emergency response, technical rescue, and fire service instruction. Born and raised in England, Dave began his career with the London Fire Brigade, where he served for 13 years, gaining extensive experience in urban firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency response within one of the world’s busiest metropolitan fire services.

 

In 2007, Dave relocated to California to continue his fire service career. He currently serves as a Captain with the Montebello Fire Department in Los Angeles County, where he is actively involved in operations, training, and leadership development.

 

Dave is an active member of USAR Regional Task Force 2 (RTF-2) and is a California State Fire Instructor in multiple disciplines, including vehicle extrication. He previously served on a specialized extrication cadre based out of Denver, Colorado, and was selected to instruct at FDIC (Fire Department Instructors Conference), one of the fire service’s most respected international training conferences.

 

In addition to his municipal service, Dave spent 11 years with TNT Rescue Systems, progressing from dealer to Regional Manager and ultimately serving as CEO. During this time, he played a key role in advancing rescue training, equipment education, and technical rescue capabilities for fire departments nationwide.

 

Dave is deeply passionate about firefighter safety, instructor development, and advancing the next generation of fire service professionals through high-quality training and mentorship.
